A man passed away following a jet ski accident last night (Saturday, September 2, 2017) in Rhea County. Officers say the accident took place on Chickamauga Lake near Double S Road near Dayton. The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency says the 24-year-old was riding a jet ski after dark when the accident happened. They continued on to say operating a jet ski after dark is illegal, because the watercraft isn’t equipped with proper lighting. The name of the man killed was not immediately released by authorities.
