MAN FOUND WITH MUSHROOMS AFTER CAR WAS FLIPPED ON SIDE

On Sunday, June 26, authorities were called to Main Street in Crossville by McDonald’s for a truck turned on its side. Upon arrival, Tyler Flowers, age 32 was inside and was helped exit the vehicle.  Flowers stated that something in the road hit his vehicle causing him to wreck. Witnesses did not notice anything that hit his car but claimed they saw him driving in the grass in the median of the road.

Officers noticed he was unsteady on his feet and erratic. He claimed he had 3 beers and after being given a sobriety test, he failed. Upon arrest, officers noticed 2 baggies sticking out of his pants pockets. 17.91 grams of dried mushrooms remained in the bags. When his car was being towed, a handgun and ammo were recovered.

Flowers was taken into custody.
