An assault involving a machete landed a Crossville man in jail yesterday. The arrest report states 28-year-old Roberto Galdino Cantu confronted a male he was in a relationship with after an argument on Tabor Loop and attempted to swing the weapon. The victim sustained a laceration to his hand. Deputies found Cantu walking down Tabor Loop holding the machete enclosed in a sheath. Cantu was charged with aggravated domestic assault. The weapon was seized and placed into evidence at the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
