A Overton County grand jury has returned an indictment charging a man in a fatal vehicle accident. Thirty-year-old Abner Eicher of Lewisburg, Kentucky, faces criminal negligent homicide in death of 62-year-old Patricia Burchfield of Livingston. The accident happened on State Route 85 when Eicher’s pickup truck crossed the center line and struck Burchfield’s Ford Escape head-on. Troopers say evidence and statements suggested Eicher was using or answering his cell phone at the time of the crash.
