MAN IDENTIFIED AFTER STRUCK BY A TRAIN IN HARRIMAN
One man was killed Tuesday evening after being struck by a Northbound Norfolk Southern freight train in the area behind Ruby Tuesday in South Harriman. The incident happened just after 11:00 as Harriman fire and police were first on the scene and noticed the person deceased along the tracks. The man believed to be in his 40s was transported to the Roane Medical Center by a rescue squad unit. The medical examiner was called to the scene and pronounced the man deceased.
Details of exactly what happened have not been released.
