Cumberland County deputies and EMS responded to Pleasant Hill Market on Sparta Highway this morning around 6:30 for a subject who appeared there with multiple injuries. The victim initially told authorities he was pistol-whipped and held against his will at another location until he was able to get free. The man was transported to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment. The incident is under investigation.
