MAN REPORTS OVER $1,400 WORTH OF HIS ITEMS STOLEN IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

A man made a police report last Friday after he said he had a gentleman that he employed, allegedly steal from him.

The 81-year-old man stated that he spoke with a man named Matthew Tuttle and according to him, they both had agreed that if Matthew could clean the debris from in his yard and pressure wash his driveway, he would pay him with items on his property. The items on the property were: a John Deere mower, a Craftsman mower, two push mowers, an unknown amount of wheel weights, grader blades, plow blades, trailer hitch for a lawn mower, chains, ramps, and two gas cans full of fuel.

The man stated Mr. Tuttle began to work on cleaning the debris but then left the residence. The victim then had to go out of town for two days and when he returned, all the listed items were missing from his property. The items were valued at approximately $1,400.

No warrants have been written and the deputies are investigating this case.
