A Cumberland County man was sentenced Friday on child-abuse charges. Court officials say 35-year-old Herbert James Holter, III was indicted in February of this year for purposely causing physical injury to a 13-year-old boy in October 2017. Court officials say Holter was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days’ supervised probation after entering a guilty plea to charges of child abuse.
