MAN SENTENCED TO 25 YEARS AFTER MURDERING HIS WIFE IN CROSSVILLE
On Monday, Rony Noe Ambrocio Cruz was sentenced to 25 years in prison after the jury declared him to be guilty of second-degree murder in a 2020 case.
In August 2020, a joint investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Crossville Police Department, and the 13th Judicial District Attorney’s Office lead to the arrest of a Crossville man in connection to the death of his wife.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Village Lane, on a Sunday morning after dispatchers received a 911 call in which the caller reportedly hung up, the release states. Upon arrival, officers discovered a body, later identified as Sante Cecilia Amrvocio Mendezin in a wooded area behind an apartment complex.
Cruz had stated in the trial how his wife had been unfaithful and was hearing voices from Satan.
According to the judge, he will serve 25 years at 100%.
