MAN WITH MULTIPLE SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION VIOLATIONS TO APPEAR IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY COURT

Garrett Wayne Walker of Crossville, Tennessee, faces multiple criminal charges in Cumberland County General Sessions Court.

He has three separate counts of Sexual Offender Registration Form Violation, a Class E Felony, all filed December 17, 2025, by Detective Tyrel Lorenz. These stem from his status on the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry.

One charge involves failing to timely report a change in his home address: he reportedly moved in late October/early November 2025 without updating authorities, despite signing a registration form on December 11, 2025, claiming his old address was still accurate. Another charge alleges he knowingly falsified his registration on the same date by failing to report his termination from the City of Crossville Parks Department (on October 18, 2025) and falsely claiming he was still employed there.

An additional charge accuses him of tampering with construction signs/barricades and traveling on a closed road.

Finally, Walker faces a Domestic Assault charge. This is based on a report from his wife and his then-girlfriend. They provided video footage of an incident on August 23, 2025, at School Ave, in which Walker allegedly physically abused his approximately 6-year-old son.

Walker is represented by attorney John Nisbet in the registration cases and by a Public Defender in the domestic assault case.
