On Sunday at approximately 9:17 p.m. Crossville Police responded to the area of North Main Street to the City of Crossville sewage pump house due to reports of a male subject inside of the fence not wearing pants.

A water treatment employee informed Officer Jared South that he had found the male after receiving a high-level alarm. The alarm indicated the pumps were not working properly. Upon arriving on the scene, officers made contact with the subject who was inside a locked fence surrounding the sewer pump station, which also had barbed wire on top and a sign stating authorized personnel only.

The male subject had entered into the fenced-in area through the small Gap in the gate. He was ordered to exit from the inside of the fence and after complying and exiting from the pump station he was placed into custody for a trespassing offense.

The subject was identified as Anthony Jason Price and was escorted to a police vehicle and searched. While searching Sergeant Karlsven informed Officer South that the subject had tampered with the pump equipment. After mirandaizing Price, Officer South asked him if he had done anything to the equipment to which he indicated he had manipulated the equipment at the pump station to try and figure out how to fix his sewer in white county.

After telling him that the people who come to do the maintenance on the pumps call the police he said he was doing the maintenance on them. The water treatment employee informed the officers that the disconnect boxes and the main power supply had been tampered with. Price, while trespassing at the sewage pump house, tampered with the equipment which caused an interruption with the operation of the sewage plant.

The next day, Officer South spoke with the sanitation department who said that there was no damage to the equipment. Price was charged with critical infrastructure vandalism instead of vandalism, and was transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center for booking by MPO Sherill.
