MARK WILSON RESIGNS FROM TNTECH’S ATHLETIC DIRECTOR POSITION

Mark Wilson is resigning as Tennessee Tech University’s director of athletics effective June 30, 2025, after 21 years of leadership. During his tenure, starting in July 2004, he led the Golden Eagles to 45 Ohio Valley Conference championships and 18 NCAA Championship appearances, including a notable 2018 baseball Super Regional. Academically, student-athletes maintained a department GPA above 3.0 for 32 semesters, earning 19 OVC Scholar Athlete Awards and 23 OVC Team Academic Awards. Wilson oversaw significant facility upgrades, including renovations to Tucker Stadium, Hooper Eblen Center, and other athletic venues, and the acquisition of Golden Eagle Golf Club. His leadership strengthened community ties, boosted media exposure, and earned him the 2013 FCS Athletic Director of the Year Award. A national search for his successor will begin immediately.
