MARTINEZ ARRESTED FOR MURDER OF ROANE COUNTIAN
The Knox County Sheriff’s Department says 23-year-old Charlie Richard “Rico” Martinez was taken into custody Friday night for first-degree murder in the death of Victor Letner of Roane County. Martinez also faces a violation of probation charge. His bond was initially set at $1 million.
Amanda Blanchard was also arrested at her home at 2804 Rifle Range Road where Martinez was found by officers. She is charged with accessory after the fact in Letner’s killing.
Kendra Ivey is charged with felony murder and is being held in jail in lieu of $1 million bond. Martinez’s mother, 46-year-old Diana Jeanty, faces evidence tampering and being an accessory after the fact.
Ivey reportedly was with Letner when they drove to the 7,000 block of Kodak Road where Rico Martinez was waiting. Letner was fatally shot and $40 was taken off of him.
The sheriff’s office wishes to thank the Rockwood Police Department and the United States Marshals Service for their help with the arrest.
