Mary Jennings Henley, 70
Mary Jennings Henley, 70, of Kingston, TN passed away into the arms of Jesus on March 2, 2025, at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on July 18, 1954, in Lake City, TN, Mary was the daughter of Clarence and Margaret Jennings. She dedicated 40 years of service as an administrative assistant at Y-12 National Security Complex, where her diligence and professionalism left a lasting impact.
Her greatest accomplishments and sources of joy were her children, Ryan and Rachel, and grandchildren.
Mary will be remembered for her caring, generous, and kind spirit. She found joy in sewing and cooking, often sharing her talents with those around her. In addition to creating a family cookbook, she was part of a quilting ministry at church and enjoyed making clothing for the children they supported. Her warmth and compassion touched many lives.
She is survived by her loving husband, Rick, her son Ryan (Delicia), her daughter Rachel Sprain and precious pup Chipper. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Douglas and Glenn. She will be sorely missed by her surviving brothers Roy (Joyce), Wesley (Paula), Roger (Gail), Sister-in-Law Lola and her only surviving Aunt, Gladys Hunley. She cherished her grandchildren Ethan, Ella, Easton, Evan and Jameson as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She had several special women in her life that she considered as sisters.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 6, at Clinch River Baptist Church from 3:00p.m. to 5:00p.m., located at 407 Cane Creek Road, Rocky Top, TN 37769.
Mary’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
