Cumberland County deputies responded to a residence on Mayland Loop yesterday morning for a report that a large air compressor had been stolen. A woman told deputies she’s in the process of moving out of the home and had left a back door unlocked.

A neighbor reported seeing a man in coveralls walking from the back yard on the date in question, but he wasn’t holding anything.

The stolen air compressor was valued at $300. An investigation is ongoing.
