Roane County deputies took 52-year-old Charles Anthony McClure of Oliver Springs into custody yesterday. He is charged with failure to register as a sex offender and violation of community supervision. According to the register, McClure is classified as violent against children after his conviction in 1999 for aggravated sexual battery.
