The state medical examiner has now ruled the death of a young McMinn County female found dead as a homicide. Officers say the body of 18-year-old Kelsey N. Burnette of Etowah was found back in July on Charles Street. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is working the case. The exact cause of Burnette’s death is pending.
