MCMINN COUNTY SCHOOLS MOURNS SUDDEN LOSS OF DIRECTOR DR. JULIE GOODIN
Dr. Julie Goodin, the Director of Schools for McMinn County, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly, as announced by the district on Thursday. Having begun her tenure in July, Dr. Goodin was recognized as a dedicated and talented leader whose vision significantly impacted the school community.
In response to her passing, McMinn County Schools and the district office will close on Friday, October 24, 2025, to allow students and staff time to mourn. The district expressed deep sorrow, noting her commitment to students, staff, and families, and stated that her loss will be profoundly felt.
