The Meigs County assessor of property was arrested over the weekend. Officers say 45-year-old William Chandler “Billy” Breeden was taken into custody around midnight yesterday on two counts of domestic assault. The arrest report states that Breeden threatened to sue Meigs County and the arresting officer if he was charged. Breeden was processed at the jail and released on bond.
