METH ARREST AT PLEASANT HILL MARKET
On May 4, 2025, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputy Joshua Alderman responded to a report of an intoxicated and belligerent individual at Pleasant Hill Market, on Sparta Highway. The suspect, identified as Jimmy Franklin Brown Jr., a 56-year-old white male, was located in a red sedan on Browntown Road.
Brown exhibited signs of intoxication, including slurred speech, red watery eyes, and unsteady balance. A pat-down revealed two knives, and a search of his belongings left at the store uncovered 1.15 grams of a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Brown was involved in an altercation at the store, where he was punched by a customer after yelling and touching them. EMS transported him to Cumberland Medical Center (CMC) for evaluation of injuries. Later, Brown was reported fighting hospital staff, leading to his discharge and transport to the Sheriff’s Office for booking.
Brown was charged with Manufacture, Delivery, Sale, or Possession of Methamphetamine; Disorderly Conduct; and Public Intoxication.
