METH, EVADING AND RESISTING ARREST, AND STEALING A SHOOTING HOUSE

On Sunday, Sergeant Dustin Jackson with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Barnwell Road area to speak with a man regarding the theft of his $2,000 shooting house. He told Jackson he could see four-wheeler tracks from where the shooting house and trailer were parked on Old Tollett Rd and followed the tracks back to Barnwell Road. Once there, the property owner spoke with Timothy Debord about the stolen shooting house, and after a short exchange, the two had an altercation.
The owner of the shooting house said Debord took off on his four-wheeler into the woods. The owner participated in a photo lineup at Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and identified the male as Timothy Debord.
The next day on Monday, Deputy Holden Atkinson, Deputy Lewis, and Deputy Winningham, went to the Barnwell Rd Area to serve Timothy Debord with his outstanding warrants. However, Debord would run on foot after making contact and would resist arrest after being placed in cuffs.
Debord was placed into custody after a short struggle, after that the deputies located a bag containing methamphetamine was found on his person. Also located were two “tooters”, straws usually used to snort or smoke narcotics. Debord was placed in a patrol car before being transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center for booking.
Upon arrival, Mr. Debord was charged with his outstanding warrant for theft along with evading, resisting arrest, and simple possession. The meth was placed into evidence, and the “tooters” were disposed of.
