METH, MARIJUANA, AND GUNS FOUND IN FAIRVIEW

Deputies from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department including Cpl. Brent Griffin were dispatched on Thursday to a home in the Fairview area in response to a possible domestic assault. The caller, Melissa Neal, claimed that, on Sunday of last week, her boyfriend Carl Davidson had been ‘smoking pills’ in his room and came out and started accusing her of stealing money, pulled out a handgun, and threatened to leave or be ‘buried in the back yard.’
Neal had been staying in her car at Centennial Park since and had paperwork from Avalon in her possession. Cpl. Griffin contacted Avalon and started the process to take Neal to a safe house.
Deputies then traveled to Davidson’s home. Davidson says he didn’t point a gun at Neal and claims he gave her $100 when she left. He also explained to deputies that he was a convicted felon and had several guns in his home. Deputies noticed the smell of marijuana in his home and received permission from the homeowner to search the house.
Deputies located numerous rifles, handguns, and shotguns that Carl stated belonged to him, as well as 79 grams of a green leafy substance deputies believe is Marijuana, a small plastic bag with 3 grams of a crystal-like substance believed to be Methamphetamine, and several glass pipes commonly used to smoke said substances.
After confirming Davidson’s status as a felon, he was placed under arrest, and transported to intake for booking.
