MICHAEL DUNN CENTER WORK BUILDING DEBUTS WITH RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY
A successful ribbon-cutting ceremony took place today at 10:00 a.m. for the new Michael Dunn Center work building at 1238 South Roane Street, Harriman, behind Wheel’s Towing in the Emory Gap community. Michael Dunn Center officials, alongside city and county leaders, staff, and Roane Alliance President Justin Snow, celebrated the opening.
The facility offers a range of services for businesses, including document shredding (with a mobile unit), laundry, printing, sewing, badge cleaning, and more. Facility Director Cindy Gregg invites businesses to visit and explore these offerings. Michael Dunn Center Director Michelle Butler and Justin Snow emphasized the facility’s importance to the community and thanked all attendees.
In addition, the all-inclusive playground at the Harriman City Recreation Center, adjacent to the splash pad, is nearly complete and set for a ribbon-cutting next month, coinciding with the splash pad’s opening. Constructed by the Michael Dunn Center to provide accessible play for individuals with disabilities, the playground was made possible through grant funding and a $1-per-year land lease from the City of Harriman. Updates on the opening date will follow.
