MILLER ARRESTED ON SECOND DUI CHARGE IN TWO WEEKS IN CROSSVILLE

Crossville police stopped a motorist on Sparta Drive Wednesday for erratic driving. Robert E. Miller, age 59, reportedly failed a sobriety test and was arrested for DUI.

The sheriff’s department says Miller was booked into jail two weeks ago (September 12, 2020) for the same offense.

Miller was also arrested in 1997 and 2014 for DUI.

He was sentenced by a general sessions judge in April 1998 to 11 months 29 days probation except for two days to serve and his driver’s license was suspended for a year.

In June 2016, Miller appeared in criminal court after being bound over to a grand jury and received 6 months on probation for the second DUI offense.

The sheriff’s office says Miller has been booked 21 different times in the jail for public intoxication.

He is scheduled to appear in court on the latest DUI arrests next month.
