MISSING ALABAMA OFFICIER AND INMATE
The manhunt for Inmate Casey Cole White and Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office Assistant Director of Corrections Vicki White (no relation) is ongoing. On Friday, April 29, 2022, around 9:30 am Officer Vicki told the booking officer at the detention center that she was taking Casey Cole White to the courthouse for a mental health evaluation. She claimed to not be feeling well, so she would get medical attention after dropping him off. However, neither returned to the jail. Authorities later discovered there was no evaluation nor hearing scheduled for Casey White that day.
Casey White was charged with murder and burglary in the 2015 death of Connie Ridgeway at her Rogersville, Alabama, home. Investigators believe that the officer is in danger and will not know if she participated or was threatened to help the inmate escape until they are able to locate her.
The Sherriff says, “He’s 6-foot-9, weighs somewhere around 250 pounds. … We’re assuming he’s armed because she was armed.”
The US Marshals Service is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the location of Vicki White and the capture of Casey White.
The Lauderdale County Sheriff suggests calling 911 immediately if anyone spots the inmate or the officer.
