A missing woman from Powell died in a Christmas Day crash in Laurel County, Kentucky after her car went over an embankment. Authorities from Knoxville say that 74-year-old Lynda Ashley Gentry had been reported missing after she attended church Sunday. Tuesday, investigators were informed that the missing woman had been found deceased off London Dock Rd, approximately 16 miles west of London, KY. Gentry’s vehicle, a white Buick sedan, was found over a 30-foot steep embankment by a passerby. She was discovered inside the vehicle. The initial determination of her cause of death was of cold temperatures according to the coroner’s office. Her vehicle only had minor damage. The investigation is continuing.
