MOM WITH NEWBORN BABY ROBBED, THREATENED OVER MONEY AND PILLS

NASHVILLE, TN (WZTV)  A Nashville woman sitting outside her Creekwood Drive home was robbed and her newborn baby threatened over money and pills prescribed to her following the child’s birth.

According to the arrest affidavit for Kevin L. Thompson, the victim was sitting outside her home in late September when a Honda Civic driven by Thompson pulled into her driveway. Having met Thompson in the past, Thompson allegedly started off by asking how her newborn baby was doing. Things then took a turn when Thompson allegedly flashed a gun and stated “b****, get inside.”

The woman says Thompson demanded her money and her prescription pills. When she denied having any, Thompson allegedly stated “I know you don’t want anything to happen to you or that baby boy.” The woman gave Thompson $450 in cash and 26 oxycodone pills she was given after surgery. Thompson fled the scene in the car but was captured and booked into the Davidson County Jail on Monday. He is facing charges of aggravated robbery and is being held on $80,000 bond.
