Monterey police responded yesterday around 2:30 p.m. to an unconscious male on the side of I-40 eastbound between mile marker 300 and 301. The male was hitchhiking when a white SUV with two Caucasian males stopped to pick him up. According to the victim, the males robbed and assaulted him before dumping him on the side of the interstate.
