A two vehicle accident yesterday on I-40 near the Cumberland/Putnam County line resulted in one hurt. Captain R.C. Christian with the Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2007 Chrysler driven by 59-year-old Daniel Altman of Cookeville stopped near the 305 mile marker because of a traffic backup when he was rear ended by a 2020 Freightliner tractor-trailer operated by 26-year-old  Zhihan Ju of San Gabriel, California. The only one hurt in the crash was a passenger in the Chrysler, 59-year-old Gitte Altman of Cookeville. This was one of numerous accidents in the area from snow covered roads yesterday.
