Monterey police responded to the Convenience Mart very early this morning for an armed robbery. Officers say a masked individual smashed through the front window with a crowbar then threatening the clerk. The robber made off with an undetermined amount of cash running off on foot towards Rose Avenue. Officials said he had black duffel bag when he left the store.
