MONTEREY TEE BALL PRESIDENT INDICTED

From the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office:
On July 3, 2025, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office began investigating allegations of theft related to the Monterey Tee Ball and Coaches Pitch organization.
As the investigation proceeded, Detectives reportedly discovered that the President of the organization, identified as Joshua Gallagher, stole funds directly from the bank account for his personal use. As President of the organization, Gallagher was responsible for the organization’s bank account since there was no treasurer. It was also found that Gallagher made personal purchases including food and clothing that was not associated with the teams.
Furthermore, it appears based on the investigation that a large amount of the cash raised from the sale of concessions and fees paid by the individual players were never deposited to the bank. For example, Detectives discovered that the bank records indicated that Gallagher only deposited a total of $2,147.00 for all the 16 games played in April and May, when it should’ve been a larger amount.
Gallagher reportedly admitted to using some of the missing money to pay for his mortgage and personal use. As to the other missing funds, Gallagher claimed that he simply did not know what happened to the money.
Joshua Gallagher was indicted by the Putnam County Grand Jury and charged with Theft Between $2,500.00 and $10,000.00. Thank you to Chief John Mackie and Monterey Police Department for their assistance in this case.
