MORE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS STOLEN IN CROSSVILLE

On Tuesday, June 21, an officer stopped a vehicle for a license plate having blue paint covering the letters. After noticing the altered tag, officers saw catalytic converters in plain view. Lancer Goss, age 40, had no documentation on the converters, which are now necessary. Officers also seized more catalytic converters, 3 Sawzalls, batteries, chargers for flashlights, and a pack of Sawzall blades. Some were in new packaging and some were used.

Goss admitted he had stolen 3 of the catalytic converters from Crossville Memorial and two other ones he did know where they were from, but intended to sell them. The total value of just the converters alone was $2,700.

He was taken into custody.
