More information has been released on the disturbance at a Tennessee correctional facility where three officers were assaulted. According to a release from the State Dept. of Corrections, 16 inmates in one unit were involved in the disturbance at Turney Center Industrial Complex in Hickman County Sunday. During the incident, three officers, identified as Lester Ball, Jesse Shockley and Paul Nielson, were stabbed multiple times. Ball and Nielson were taken from the facility immediately while Shockley was held hostage for three hours. A Special Ops unit from TDOC is said to have taken control of the situation without using force. The three victims were taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center where Officer Ball was treated and released. Nielson and Shockley are in stable condition. The inmates involved in the trouble were transported to Morgan County Correctional Complex while the Turner Center continues in lockdown mode.
