MORE INFORMATION ON TBI 10 MOST WANTED FUGITIVE ARREST IN CUMBERLAND CO. RELEASED

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department released more information today regarding a man on the TBI 10 Most Wanted turning himself before sunrise yesterday morning. Deputies were called by the Tennessee Highway Patrol to back them up in the arrest. The report states 31-year-old Christopher Allen Taylor had threatened suicide by cop specifically to Trooper Newcombe. Contact was made with Taylor by phone who agreed to surrender with the condition he got to talk to Newcome personally. A meeting point was set at Greenwave Truck Stop on Westel Road near I-40. Once Newcome and Taylor were present, numerous law enforcement officers who were staged nearby came in and took Taylor into custody without incident. As of this morning, Taylor remained in the Cumberland County jail. He is wanted in Roane County for especially aggravated kidnapping, rape and aggravated assault
