We have now obtained the police report following the fatal shooting that occurred on Brown Road on Tuesday killing 53-year-old Terri Pitton.

According to the Cumberland County deputies, they were dispatched after a male reportedly stated that his wife had been shot in the chest after he pushed her away in response to her pulling a shotgun on him.

When deputies arrived, they observed the caller, identified as 39-year-old Donald Jackson, kneeling over Terri Pitton and appearing to be applying pressure on what appeared to be a gunshot wound to her chest. According to the report, Ms. Pitton was completely unclothed and covered in blood.

Deputies observed a shotgun lying within close proximity to the victim’s body. The deputies ordered the male away from the victim and detained him.

Deputies immediately started to engage with performing CPR on the victim, until EMS arrived. She was transported to Cumberland Medical Center ER where she later passed away.

Donald Jackson was charged with Felony Possession of a Weapon. The TBI is now investigating the case.
