MORGAN COUNTY WILDLIFE OFFICER INDICTED BY GRAND JURY
The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency says a Morgan County wildlife officer misused his state gas card and is facing charges of stealing more than $60,000.
A grand jury indicted Travis Buchanan for theft and official misconduct.
Buchanan was under investigation this past June for misusing state funds.
Authorities say Buchanan used his gas card between January 2010 and January 2023 to purchase gasoline not used for official purposes.
Buchanan served as a wildlife officer for TWRA for 18 years.
