MOST COUNTIES SEE SLIGHT DROP IN UNEMPLOYMENT IN OCTOBER
Most Tennessee counties saw a slight decrease in unemployment numbers for the month of October. However, the overall unemployment in the state saw an increase for the month from 4.6 to 4.8 percent. In Cumberland County, unemployment decreased just a tenth of a percentage point from 6.1 to 6 percent. In Roane County numbers decreased the same amount from 5.7 to 5.6 percent. Williamson County posts the lowest unemployment numbers at 3.5 percent while Lake County is the highest at 8 percent.
