A woman was killed and a child was taken to the hospital after a Saturday morning accident in Dunlap. Officials say that the woman, whose identity has not been released, was traveling on State Route 28 near Press Pickett Road around 8:30 AM. The cause of the single-vehicle crash is unknown at this time, with the Tennessee Highway Patrol investigating. The child was secured in a car seat in the rear seat of the car and was taken to Children’s Hospital for treatment. The extent of the child’s injuries is unknown.
