MOTHER IN MCMINN COUNTY SENTENCED FOR FOUR MURDERS AFTER ABDUCTING HER INFANT
Court officials say a McMinn County woman was sentenced this morning to life in prison without parole for her role in a homicide resulting in four deceased and a 10-month-old infant abducted.
Jazzmine Hall entered guilty pleas to 12 counts connected to the 2021 murders.
Hall’s attorneys tried to get her bond while they appealed the sentence, but the judge denied the request.
On September 25, 2021, law enforcement arrived at a home on Highway 60 in Riceville and discovered a man and 3 women dead. An infant, who was Hall’s child, was missing. Officers say the father of the child was among the dead.
Another suspect in the murders, Curtis Smith, is still awaiting trial.
Law enforcement said less than 12 hours after the bodies were discovered, Hall and Smith were both found and arrested in Polk County.
The child was safe and placed with the Department of Children’s Services.
