This afternoon, a motorcycle accident took place on Highway 70, just east of the Kingston and Galahar Road intersection near Buck Creek Road, shortly before 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The incident has resulted in one confirmed fatality, with no other vehicles reported to be involved in the crash.

As a result of the crash, authorities have reduced traffic on Highway 70 to a single lane to allow for investigation and cleanup efforts.

This partial closure is expected to last for a couple of hours, causing delays for motorists in the area.
