A vehicle versus a motorcycle accident on I-40 in eastern Putnam County yesterday afternoon resulted in one hurt. Troopers say a 2016 Nissan Altima driven by 38-year-old Jessica O’Neil of Ashland City came to a stop because of traffic being backed up at the 294 westbound mile marker. That is when a 2014 Harley Davidson operated by 33-year-old Justin Albert Sands of Cookeville rear-ended the Altima. O’Neil was not hurt. Sands was treated for injuries sustained in the impact.
