MOTORCYCLIST MIRACULOUSLY ESCAPES INJURY IN CRASH ON I-40
The Tennessee Highway Patrol and medics responded late yesterday afternoon to a motorcycle crash on I-40 in Putnam County.
The accident report states a 2021 Kawasaki operated by 20-year-old Maranda Garriott was traveling east at the 295-mile marker when she lost control in a curve.
The motorcycle left the road, overturned, and struck a rock embankment.
Troopers say Garriott was not hurt in the crash. She was wearing her helmet at the time of impact.
