Cumberland County deputies stopped a vehicle Saturday on Mount Vernal Road after the officer knew the driver had a revoked license. A check confirmed that status for 33-year-old Gregory Alan Ray Mullins. However, a check of the vehicle came back stolen out of Roane County. A female passenger told officers there was another vehicle at a residence on Smith Mountain Road that Mullins reportedly did not have a title for. Deputies check it and it also came back stolen out of Roane County. Mullins was charged with two counts of theft of property.
