A multi-county hot pursuit led to White County Middle School being locked down for a time Thursday. When Putnam County Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a black Mazda, the driver, Teddy Lee Dodd of McMinnville, continued on along Highway 111 which led to the pursuit. Dodd crossed into White County where county deputies took up the chase. At one point, the suspect turned into WCMS’s parking lot and through the soccer and football fields resulting in the lock down. The pursuit eventually led to Monterey and back to Putnam County on Highway 84 where it culminated in Dodd running over spike strips at the intersection of Highway 70 and I-40. He lost control of his vehicle and came to a stop in the median area. Criminal charges are pending.
