BBBTV12 – ROANE COUNTY – Emergency crews responded to two separate accidents Monday evening, one on Interstate 40 and another on Swan Pond Road, resulting in traffic delays and one minor injury.

The first incident occurred on Interstate 40 near the 360 mile marker in the eastbound lanes. Several vehicles were involved in the crash. No injuries were reported; however, traffic was backed up for more than an hour and a half as crews worked to clear the scene and remove the damaged vehicles.

Just before 7:00 p.m., a second accident was reported in the 1800 block of Swan Pond Road, where a single vehicle crashed into a mobile home. Initial reports indicated that someone may have been partially trapped, prompting a response from the rescue squad and other emergency personnel.

Upon arrival, responders determined that no one was seriously injured. One person sustained minor injuries. The mobile home suffered significant damage, along with the vehicle involved.

Charges are pending in the Swan Pond Road crash.
