Multiple fire departments and emergency personnel had their hands full with a fire which took place at an isolated home in White County Sunday. At 5 PM, crews were dispatched to a structure fire in the Board Valley Community in the northern part of the county. The fire was at a residence on White Oak Flatt Road, and due to the remote location, tanker trucks from Northend, Cherry Creek and Putnam County were called in to transport water. During the blaze, a nearby woodline also caught fire. Additional crews from Cassville were also called in. Because of the narrow roadways and the need for equipment access, White Oak Flatt Road was closed for a time during the operation. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
