TDOT reports two ongoing westbound and one eastbound road projects on Interstate 40 in Roane County are to blame for causing traffic headaches for commuters and other highway travelers.

In one westbound project, Rogers Group is conducting bridge repair, resurfacing and tree clearing. This effort is being managed through the Harriman Construction office.

The second westbound project, managed by the Geotechnical office, involves investigative drilling.

The eastbound delays on I-40 in Roane County are also a result of an investigative-drilling project, likewise managed by the Geotechnical office.
