MULTIPLE SUSPECTS IN CONNECTION WITH MISSING WARTBURG TEEN CASE

Wartburg Police have announced the arrest of three people in connection with the disappearance of a 14-year-old teen recently. Bridgett Gordon was reported missing from her Morgan County home on Dec. 4. She was found safe Monday in Dyersburg. The FBI and TBI assisted in the 27-day search. According to a police department release, several individuals were brought in during the search for questioning, and now three people face charges or have charges pending in relation to the chase. On Dec. 20, 24-year-old Austin Craig Henry, of Jamestown, was taken into custody by the Fentress County Sheriff’s Office and Wartburg police. On Jan. 4, 45-year-old Richard Edward Gilliland, of Newbern, was taken into custody in Bowling Green. A third individual, as of now unidentified, was taken into custody in Athens-Clarke County on outstanding warrants. Police say the third person is expected to face charges in connection with the case. According to the release, several more suspects are expected to be arrested.
