MULTIPLE THEFTS REPORTED AT VARIOUS CROSSVILLE STORES
On April 22, 2026, Crossville Police Department responded to several theft reports at local retail stores. At Walmart on Obed Plaza, a loss prevention associate reported that a woman was observed skip-scanning items on April 5, 2026, before exiting the store without paying at approximately 1859 hrs. The Associate signed a warrant for her arrest on theft charges, with video evidence to be submitted.
In a separate Walmart incident on the same day, officers were informed of two additional shoplifting events involving a former Walmart employee. She was linked to thefts on April 17 ($63.84) and April 11 ($13.34), with her Chevrolet Equinox captured on surveillance. Walmart’s prevention associate planned to apply for warrants, and digital evidence was requested.
At Phillips Distributing on Miller Avenue, a male suspect asked about a vehicle starter, then stole a Milwaukee 3/8″ ratchet valued at $240. The suspect reportedly left the scene in a black Chevrolet HHR. No contact had been made with Webb at the time of the report.
Finally, at Rural King, a female suspect stole a pair of Ariat boots on April 19, 2026, and left in a black Kia passenger car. The vehicle was registered to a woman who was also identified from surveillance footage. Rural King staff indicated they would seek an arrest warrant for theft of merchandise as well as criminal trespass, since the woman had previously been banned from the store.
