A murder trial is set to get underway this morning (Tuesday, April 9, 2024) in Cumberland County Criminal Court.

Authorities say 58-year-old Tony Charles Davenport of Fairfield Glade is charged with first-degree murder, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and two counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Davenport is accused of the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Jacob Conrad Lewis at a home on Grouse Court in March 2022.

Officers say 51-year-old Florence Easterly and 56-year-old Corey James Hillsman were wounded in the shooting.
